​Experience the grand and majestic China on this 24 Day China Grand Tour. Exploring valuable destinations including Beijing, Xian, Wuhan, Yi Chang to board the 5 star Yangtze River Cruiser, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Zhongdian and Shanghai.

Day 01: Australia ► Beijing 
Morning depart Australia to Beijing with Cathay Pacific Airlines via Hong Kong. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to four star hotel for 4 nights.
Day 02: Beijing (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner and Show) 
Today visit Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world. Next continue to the magnificent Forbidden City, home to emperors for over 500 years. Afternoon, visit Temple of Heave, built in 1420, where emperors of Ming and Qing would perform rituals essential to the well-being of the country, praying to Heaven for good harvests. Enjoy the Kung Fu show in the evening.
Day 03: Beijing (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
A full-day tour to the Great Wall, built more than 2,000 years ago to protect China from northern invaders. After lunch visit the sacred Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty were buried. On the way back to Beijing drive by the “Bird Nest” and “Water Cube” – the main 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics venues for a photo stop. Enjoy Peking duck banquet tonight.
Day 04: Beijing (Breakfast. Lunch) 
Visit Summer Palace, which was built as a royal garden for Qing Dynasty Emperors, and then take a “Beijing Alleys Tour”. Ride in three-wheeled rickshaws through Beijing’s quaint alleys, experiencing life as a Beijing local. This afternoon visit Wangfujing Street, which is one of Beijing’s oldest streets and now a premier shopping district with a modern face.
Day 05: Beijing ► Xian (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Take a morning flight to Xian, upon arrival visit the well-preserved City Walls and then the majestic Big Wild Goose Pagoda. In the afternoon, visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum, one of the best history museums in the nation. Check-in to four star hotel for 2 nights.
Day 06: Xian (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner and Show) 
Morning visit the Terra-Cotta Warriors Museum. After lunch, visit Huaqing Hot Spring Park. In the evening, enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show with local famous Dumpling Banquet.
Day 07: Xian ► Wuhan ► Yichang (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Today take a flight to Wuhan. Upon arrival, transfer to railway station and take the bullet train to Yichang. Then transfer to the five-star Yangtze cruiser for boarding (4 nights cruising)
Day 08: Cruising ► Yichang (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
This morning sail through the Gezhouba Dam Ship Lock. On arrival at San Douping, take a bus tour to visit the Three Gorges Dam Construction Site, whose dam will eventually cause the almost submergence of the Three Gorges. The afternoon will be spent drifting along the beautiful Shennong Stream in small boats, taking in some remarkable scenery. You are invited to attend the Captain’s welcome banquet.
Day 09: Cruising ► Shennong Stream (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
In the morning sail through the Wu Gorge, with its 12 soaring peaks, said to be a goddess and her attendants. Then an on-shore excursion to the Small Three Gorges in the Daning River part where you will enjoy a man-pulled boat ride. 
Day 10: Cruising ► Shibaozhai (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
In the morning our cruise will arrive at Wanxian, a famous mountain village. Take a bus excursion to the Snowy Jade Cave or Ghost City.
Day 11: Chongqing ► Chengdu (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
In the morning we arrive in Chongqing, a famous mountainous, river-port city. A City tour will be arranged to the People’s Hall, the city commercial centre. Afternoon, transfer to the railway station for express train to Chengdu. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to four star hotel for 3 nights.
Day 12: Chengdu ► Panda Research Centre ► Chengdu (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Today take a tour of the Giant pandas at the Giant Pandas Breeding Base and see how the Giant Pandas live in large naturalistic habitats. It is an excellent recreational area and a highlight of any visit to Chengdu. After lunch, visit Thatched Cottage of Du Fu. Situated on the side of the Flower Washing Brook in the western suburbs of Chengdu, it is the former residence of the celebrated Tang dynasty poet, Du Fu. Then visit the Wuhou Temple, dedicated to the memory of Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang, Emperor of Three Kingdoms period.
Day 13: Chengdu ► Leshan ► Chengdu (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Morning drive to Leshan and visit Giant Buddha known as the largest stone Buddha in the world. Enjoy a boat trip for a spectacular view of the Giant Buddha. Late afternoon return to Chengdu.
Day 14: Chengdu ► Kunming (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Today take a flight to Kunming, the Spring City of China located on the east edge of the Tibet Plateau. Kunming is accompanied by warm weather all year round. Climb the Western Hills to see the Taoist and Buddhist temples on the top. A very beautiful lake view of the Dianchi Lake comes into sight while we are on the top of the Dragon Hills Gate. On the way down, we visit the Huating Temple, containing 500 sculptures of the disciples of the Buddha. Check-in to four star hotel for 2 nights.
Day 15: Kunming ► Stone Forest ►  Kunming (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
A rare experience today as you take an excursion to the legendary Stone Forest, where you will marvel at the enthralling labyrinth of jagged limestone crags. This area is home to the Sani Minority, known for their fine embroidery and dancing skills.
Day 16: Kunming ► Dali (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Take a morning flight to Dali and photo stop at Yunnan-Tibetan Highway. In the afternoon, tour the Erhai Lake and enjoy the folk songs and dances of the Bai ethnic minority with the famous three course tea presented. Enjoy the beauty of the blue lake and the green mountain ranges nearby looking like a Chinese painting. Then take a look at the symbol of Dali, the Three Pagodas, which was built 1,300 years ago. Afternoon enjoy a leisurely stroll in Old Town Dali. Check-in to four star hotel for 1 night.
Day 17: Dali ► Lijiang (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Travel by road to Lijiang, a small town with spectacular mountain views. After lunch, visit the Black Dragon Pond, and the Dongba Culture Exhibition Museum, which represents the Dongba pictographic characters and Naxi Minorities mysterious culture, some of which still use the matriarchal social system today. Late afternoon, tour the ancient town of Dayan, a World Heritage Site in China recognized by the United Nations in 1999. Check-in to four star hotel for 2 nights.
Day 18: Lijiang (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
If weather permits, you will enjoy the Impression Lijiang Show. It is a cultural show demonstrating the traditions and lifestyles of the Naxi, Yi and Bai peoples of the area. The show takes place inside Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Park at 3,500m in an outdoor theatre specifically designed to showcase the mountain. In the afternoon, visit Baisha village to see its Ming and Qing dynasty frescos, then tour Yuhu Village, a well-preserved Naxi community.
Day 19: Lijiang ► Zhongdian (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Travel by road to Zhongdian, the stunningly picturesque setting believed to be the inspiration of the mythical Shangri La described in James Hilton’s novel, Lost Horizon. En route, see the First Bend of the Yangtze River at Shigu, and astounding Hutiao (Tiger Leap) Gorge on the Jinsha River, one of the deepest gorges in the world. Check-in to four star hotel for 2 nights. 
Day 20: Zhongdian (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner) 
Today take a breathtaking sightseeing tour of this beautiful region visiting 17th century Songzanglin Monastery, scenic Napa Lake, then on to tour Zhongdian Tibetan-style old town and local market. 
Day 21: Zhongdian ► Kunming ► Shanghai (Breakfast. Dinner) 
Today take a flight to Shanghai via  Kunming. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to four star hotel for 2 nights.
Day 22: Shanghai (Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner and Show) 
City tour in Shanghai includes Shanghai Museum, then to the beautiful Yu Garden and the Old Town Market. After lunch, visit former French Concession area and Nanjing Road, the biggest ‘Pedestrians-Only’ shopping street in Shanghai. After dinner, attend an unbelievable Acrobatic Performance. 
Day 23: Shanghai (Breakfast. Lunch) 
Morning is free time for last minute shopping. In the afternoon meet at the hotel lobby and transfer to airport for your flight home.
Day 24: Australia arrival
